I know this gets asked a lot, but I’m not looking for shady emulator links or ROM sites. I’d happily pay for a native PC port if Nintendo ever made one (lol, as if).
Thanks in advance. (u/EmuTechWiz, 342 points): Ryujinx is dead (RIP), but the last builds still work fine. For MK8D, use the “Vulkan” backend and enable “Texture Recompression” to fix memory leaks. Steal the shader cache from someone who’s played through all tracks – that’s the only way to avoid stutters. mario kart 8 deluxe on pc reddit
Here’s a complete, realistic-sounding Reddit-style post for “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on PC”: Posted by u/PC_Driver_64 • 4 hours ago I know this gets asked a lot, but
If you want online play, you’ll need a real Switch and a capture card – emu online is barren or full of cheaters. LAN mode via Ryujinx LDN works if you have friends also on emu. Second comment (u/Nintendrone_No_9, 178 points): Just play Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on PC. It’s not MK8, but it’s the closest you’ll get without emulating. Or wait for a fan-made PC demake that’ll get DMCA’d in a week. Third comment (u/shaders_are_dead, 89 points): There’s a subreddit for /r/NewYuzuPiracy (don’t ban me mods) – they have setup guides. You’ll need the game’s .XCI or .NSP file plus the 3.0.1 update + DLC. (u/EmuTechWiz, 342 points): Ryujinx is dead (RIP), but
Has anyone gotten MK8D running well on PC via emulation recently? I’ve got a decent rig (RTX 3060, i5-12400F, 16GB RAM). I tried Ryujinx a while back, but there were shader stutters and occasional crashes online. Is Yuzu (or its forks) better now?
