You want a "character" plugin. The MAGIX vocoder sounds like a precise tool, not a vintage piece of gear. If you want the gritty, lo-fi 8-bit sound of a 1980s talkbox, get a dedicated emulation instead.

While MAGIX includes many presets ("Classic Robot," "Whisper"), they are all musically flat. There is no preset for the modern "talking bass" (wub) or the "melodyne-style choir" effect. You have to build those from scratch, which requires understanding synthesis. You want a "character" plugin
