Miguel understood. These weren’t demons. They were the forgotten—the kids who overdosed in bathroom stalls, the veterans who pulled triggers in garages, the runaways who froze under overpasses. He finished his beer, paid for the songs himself, and drove home through the dark. The next morning, he nailed a jukebox song list to the church door—handwritten, with a single track circled.
