To receive them, one must empty the vessel — not by destroying the self, but by melting its rigid boundaries.

One day, an elderly blind faqir arrived in the city. He carried nothing but a worn leather satchel. From it, he took a single manuscript: Al-Fuyuḍāt al-Rabbāniyya by al-Bakkāʾī al-Kuntī.
